Commentary on the topics & witnesses for the hearing dates from Conservation Law Foundation.

The final hearings will span a period of 4 months with a long list of topics and witness as per the list at the last section of this page.  Conservation Law Foundation has provided this summary regarding the dates they are most involved with they may be of interest.

  • September 4:  Biodiversity.  CLF is presenting Scott Comings; Invenergy is presenting Jason Ringler; Burrillville is presenting three witnesses, Jackson, Zemba, and Hevner.  These will all almost certainly be on September 4, as no other dates are reserved.
  • September 18, 20, and 26:  Carbon emissions and climate.  Note that the EFSB will start this issue on September 18, and Invenergy’s witness will go first.  It is likely that opponents (CLF and Burrillville) will have a lot of cross examination for Invenergy’s witness, so it is really uncertain which (of the three) days CLF’s witness (Timmons Roberts) or Burrillville’s witness (Glenn Walker) will get onto the stand.
  • October 16, 16, and 30:  Need for the plant.  The EFSB will start looking at need on October 16; opponents are likely to have a lot of cross-examination; and it is uncertain when CLF’s witness on need (Fagan) or Burrillville’s witness on need (Walker) will be heard.
